On January 21, catch the lawyers and staff of Kidston racing their best outhouse yet. We can’t wait to see which teams sign up. We are so thrilled to welcome Daniel Draht to the team at Kidston Helm Ross!
Daniel’s practice areas include civil litigation and employment law. Outside of practicing law, Daniel enjoys swimming, reading, and spending time outdoors with his family. As an avid Canucks fan, he’s been loving the start of this hockey season despite a few rocky years.

On Thursday, November 16 there will be a memorial for Deanna. We encourage everyone who can attend to pay their respects. The service will take place at 4:30 pm at Pushor Mitchell.

With tomorrow being Remembrance Day, we wanted to highlight some of the activities happening in Vernon to honour those who have served.

The @vernon_museum has online resources to learn more about men and women who have served in our country. This “Vernon Serves” exhibit can be found on their website.

As well, the @cityofvernon is working with the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 25 for the Remembrance Day ceremony at Kal Tire Place on Saturday at 9:30am.

Please note that our office will be closed on Monday, November 13th in observance of November 11th.

Can you help us find an incredible kid? We are working with the North Okanagan Optimists and looking for the 2024 Junior Good Citizen. This is an award for a resident of Greater Vernon between the ages of 8 and 18. We are looking for a youth who gives back to their community, and is actively working to make Vernon better. We are asking coaches, teachers, neighbours, and youth leaders to tell us about the kids they know and the great things they are doing.

The winner of the Junior Good Citizen will be chosen by committee and then
presented with the award in January. The Junior Good Citizen of the year will also be directing a generous donation to the charity of their choice. To nominate a child or for more information on the North Okanagan Optimists please contact kathleenrmt@shaw.ca

Today is National Truth and Reconciliation Day. We take this day to reflect and respond to the devastating impacts of colonialism in Canada, including residential schools. We encourage everyone to take time to invest in their education regarding the Truth and Reconciliation Commission: Calls to Action.
@vernon_museum has compiled excellent resources regarding this day and learning about the history of residential schools more broadly. There is an event at the museum today between 11-4, as well as resources to read about the TRC Calls to Action.

Lyndsay has spent that last year working for the Lumby Chamber of Commerce and has spent several years working as a Legal Assistant for Thompson LeRose & Brown based out of Trail BC.

In her spare time Lyndsay enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two kids. She loves animals, camping, and being by the lake.
