Daniel Draht

Daniel has helped many clients navigate employment claims, both simple and complex, on behalf of employers and employees. He is an experienced trial lawyer and has appeared as lead counsel at all levels of court in British Columbia. Daniel has successfully argued human rights and workers compensation claims on behalf of both employers and employees. He is experienced in litigating matters through the various administrative bodies that govern aspects of employment relationships. He is well versed in preparing employment related documents such as contracts and handbooks as well as advising through the process of workplace investigations, restructuring and hiring. In addition to practicing in the areas of employment law, Daniel has experience as a civil litigator in the areas of land use, administrative law, and various other commercial disputes.
Daniel has a reputation for successful resolution based on persuasive and astute legal strategies. He believes that establishing and maintaining open, honest and ongoing communication with his clients is critical.
Education
Daniel graduated with a business from UBC specializing in accounting before completing his juris doctor at UBC in 2014. He was called to the bar in British Columbia in 2015.
Fun
When he’s not working Daniel enjoys swimming, reading, and spending time in the outdoors with his family. Daniel also enjoys playing and watching hockey and, despite their recent results, remains a loyal Canucks fan.
