Introducing the Vernon Junior Good Citizen of the Year Award

At Kidston Helm Ross Lawyers, we believe in celebrating community leadership and service. That’s why we are excited to partner with the North Okanagan Optimist Club to introduce a new award recognizing young changemakers in greater Vernon - the Vernon Junior Good Citizen of the Year Award.

Honouring Young Community Leaders

Set to be awarded for the first time in January 2024, the Vernon Junior Good Citizen of the Year is modeled after the longstanding Good Citizen of the Year Award presented by JCI Vernon (which is also sponsored by Kidston Helm Ross). This new award will recognize a young person between the ages of 8 and 18 who has made outstanding contributions to their community.

Recognizing and Rewarding Community Spirit

The Junior Good Citizen of the Year Award will celebrate acts of kindness, volunteerism, and leadership demonstrated by a local child or teen. Whether through helping others, leading community projects, or making a difference in the lives of those around them, these young citizens deserve recognition for their contributions.

Thanks to our partnership with the North Okanagan Optimist Club, the Junior Good Citizen will also have the opportunity to direct a donation to the charity of their choice, ensuring their efforts continue to make a meaningful impact. Funds for the donation will be provided by Kidston Helm Ross Lawyers LLP.
